Phillips Announces Auction of Fancy Intense Pink Diamond Necklace Set for Dec. 13, 2022

Philips has set the auction date of December 13, 2022, for the sale of lot-139, a Fancy pink diamond Boodles Necklace, among other pieces.
Set with an oval fancy intense pink diamond weighing 4.05 carats, the chain highlighted with collet-set brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, length approximately 18 1/8 inches, signed Boodles, case stamped Boodles. The piece is accompanied by a certified GIA report (no. 2155635097), stating that the diamond is Fancy Intense Pink, Natural Color, with VS2 Clarity.

“It’s clear from the results achieved this week in Hong Kong that the market for rare and important jewels is strong across the board. Featuring an impressive selection of jewels from distinguished private collections, our New York sale presents an exquisite array of pieces that span a century, from a late-19th-century antique diamond necklace to a contemporary Wendy Yue diamond, colored diamond, and opal necklace,” Benoît Repellin, Phillips worldwide head of jewelry, and Eva Violante, head of the Americas department, said in a statement. “The auction also features two examples that are among the highest value jewel lots to ever be offered at Phillips, the Red Dragon and a stunning Boodles pink diamond pendant necklace. The sale offers a fine selection for collectors across the board.”

The Boodles necklace is estimated to fetch between $800,000 - 1,200,000, but with the recent sucesses of fancy colored and vivid stones, expectations could easily be exceeded.
