This year Lebanese Jeweler Fred Mouawad unveiled the newly crafted crown for the Miss Universe pageant following a 3-year partnership with The Miss Universe Organization.
Commenting on the relationship between the two entities, the jeweler stated, “the creative partnership draws on Mouawad’s strong heritage of designing jewellery for royalty and its reputation for crafting the extraordinary to craft exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces befitting modern-day royalty.”

With the dawn of the second decade of the 21st century, Mouawad entered a new phase with the welcoming of the fifth generation to the family business. Jimmy Mouawad, the son of fourth generation Co-guardian Fred Mouawad, and Anastasia Mouawad, the daughter of fourth generation Co-guardian Alain Mouawad, bring with them a fresh impetus to Mouawad’s commitment to making the world a better place, through the launch of the Mouawad Diamond Impact Fund, and its belief in inspiring positivity through meaningful engagement.

Fourth-generation co-guardian Fred Mouwad presented the new Miss Universe Mouawad crown—a crown that is filled with symbolism.

The crown is topped with a 45.14-carat royal blue sapphire that symbolizes "goodness and hope for a brighter future," with 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds designed in rippling waves that signify “reflects the need for any call of change repeated across time.”

The reported value of the crown piece is over $6 million USD.
