IJIS Mumbai 2023 Goes Even Greener for This Year’s Edition

World News

The IIJS Signature expo returns to Mumbai this year after starting today January 5th going through the 9th. The expo organized by the GJEPC is taking every effort to make the show bigger, better and greener, expecting over 30,000 visitors to this year’s event. The expo plans to be carbon-neutral by 2025-26 and this expo is the first effort in that direction.

All booths at IIJS Signature are prefabricated to avoid any waste.  From gold, to diamonds, to gemstone and other studded jewellery, silver jewellery, loose stones, laboratories and education, and even lab grown diamond (loose and jewellery), there will be something for everyone in the industry on display in the 2,400 booths over the next five days.

Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said, “With the support of IIJS Signature exhibitors, visitors and all partners and associates, we aim to contribute towards the plantation of trees to reduce the carbon footprint generated by the show. This is in line with the assurance of our Hon’ble Prime Minister to become a net zero carbon neutral country by 2070.  I request everyone to come forward and join this initiative to make it a grand success.”

The expo expects visitors from 43 different countries including Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, USA, UK, and Japan among others.
