As the covid situation in India worsens, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), through email and social channels, is asking diamond and jewelry industry members to donate to help their Indian colleagues and friends win the battle against the Virus. The campaign, Diamond Aid, organized with Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), will use the funds raised to purchase medical equipment and medication for hospitals in Surat and Mumbai.
"The international diamond and jewelry industry is a close-knit community, actually a family. We cannot stand by without helping our Indian brothers and sisters" said Yoram Dvash, WFDB President.
The WFDB, founded in 1947, is the association of the world's major diamond bourses and the official organization of the international diamond trading sector. The association consists of 29 member bourses located in major diamond centers worldwide.
Donations can be made through the campaign website, which accepts PayPal, credit card, or bank deposits.
