Participants of the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair can benefit from a high-tech browsing tool that allows seamless connection and product matching between trade show buyers and exhibitors. The Tradeboard, a new product tailor-made for jewellery fairs organised by UBM Asia, allows buyers to post specific product requests before and during the fair and receive replies from exhibitors through SMS. “Many visitors come with a very specific sourcing need such as a certain type of jewellery, or very specific gemstones or materials. In some cases, visitors have to browse a lot of booths until they find the right supplier. By posting a clearly defined sourcing request on the Tradeboard, visitors can receive exhibitors’ responses on their phones – all while visiting the fair,” said Jerome Hainz, UBM regional director of Event Technology.
