Junior miner BlueRock operating the Kareevlei mine in Kimberley, South Africa, reports stronger than expected production and higher grades in Q3, or 5,577 ct compared to 3,973ct in Q3 2019, at an average price of US$330 per carat. In May, BlueRock announced it will be collaborating with Antwerp-based tender specialist Bonas Group for the sale of its rough diamonds. The company says the strong results, despite the challenging circumstances of the pandemic, support the further expansion of the mine and the commissioning of the new processing plant, which is scheduled for the end of this year.
