US Independents Jewelry Sales Up in June

National Jeweler reports that independent retailers, according to data rom The Edge Retail Academy performed better than expected with a revenue increase of 2 percent compared to June 2019. More specifically, diamond jewellery accounted for a 12% increase in revenue y-on-y and the average amount spent rose to $432, compared to $345 in the same period last year, confirming earlier reports of a modest return of customers who are spending more as (especially independent) retailers demonstrated agility and creativity in combining offline and online to overcome the COVID-19 restrictions of doing business.
