The 4th International Jewelry & Diamond Conference 2019 – Guangzhou, jointly held by the Guangzhou Diamond Exchange and the Guangdong Gems & Jade Exchange (GDGJE) will take place on November 21-22. The conference will be held in Panyu, Guangzhou, the major cluster of the diamond and jewelry industry of China, and will welcome industry representatives, associations from around the world and delegates from local governments. In keeping with the development of China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the conference is themed as “Diamond and Jewellery, Glitter in the Greater Bay Area”.
The two-day event will feature five fora covering a range of topics relevant to the diamond and jewelry sector in China and beyond. On day one (21 Nov.), the Main Forum will explore the policy advantages and trade environment in the GBA, as well as the development opportunities of jewelry industry. The Guangzhou Diamond Exchange (GZDE) will host a sub-forum that day focusing on “Diamond Industry Opportunity in a Changing World”, and will include a panel session featuring leading industry voices on “Supply Side Opportunities and Financial Services of the Rough Diamond Industry”. Another sub-forum to be held on the first day and hosted by GDGJE will focus on “Innovation on Jewellery Crafts and Techniques”.
On 22 Nov, the GZDE will host two special fora. Special Forum 1 will discuss the sustainable development of the lab-grown diamond (LGD) industry and will include panels on “LGD Supply Situation and System Construction” and “LGD Marketing Situationand Development”. Special Forum 2 will focus on “Innovation of Jewellery Sales Channel”, introducing the leading Jewellery Live-Streaming platform in China, successful jewellery IP operation cases, etc.
At the same time, the 3rd Asia Jadeite Focus Forum will also be held in Panyu. This event, jointly organized by the GDGJE, the Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China, Guangdong Institute of Diamond, Jade & Jewelry, and the Myanmar National Jewelry Association, will discuss the development of the international jadeite industry, brands and cultural innovation, grading and evaluation of jadeite, interpretation of Myanmar Jewelry Law, etc.
The conference is intended to provide insight into the development opportunities in China’s GBA, offer inside information about innovative sales channels popular in China, and will discuss international market trends, all with a view to exploring cooperation globally.
