Firestone Diamonds, the emerging junior mining company operating the Liqhobong Diamond Mine in Lesotho, announced the recovery of its largest diamond to date: a 110 carat gem-quality light yellow diamond, unearthed during the ramp up phase at its Liqhobong. The Company believes this diamond recovery confirms the significant larger stones potential that exists at Lighobong.
Stuart Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Firestone, commented: "I am delighted to announce that we have recovered Firestone's largest diamond to date. The 110 carat gem-quality light yellow diamond recovered during Liqhobong's ramp-up phase is a very exciting and encouraging accomplishment. It confirms our long held belief that Liqhobong has large stone potential and I hope this is the first of many to come." The company's stock jumped 12% the morning of the announcement.
