Chow Tai Fook, the Hong Kong based jewelry powerhouse that has taken Asia by storm, operating more than 1,800 stores in Mainland China, has finally made its way to the U.S.
The group opened their first shop-in-shop at Macy’s in Flushing Queens, colloquially referred to as ‘the Chinese Manhattan’, on November 12 2016. The shop spans approximately 500 square feet, and is based in one of the most dynamic districts in New York City with a large customer base of immigrants and tourists.

The new shop offers a wide range of products including gem-set, platinum and karat gold jewelry. The group is especially pleased with their unique collection of 24-Karat gold jewelry, “designed and distributed by Chow Tai Fook, [which] add unprecedented and unique product offerings at Macy's Flushing store”.

There is no word yet on whether the company will open additional stores in the U.S., as earlier this month Kent Wong, the company’s managing director, was asked by Rapaport News whether or not they had any intention to expand retail operations into the U.S. “No, we have Hearts on Fire there,” he said. In 2014 Chow Tai Fook purchased the U.S. brand for $150 million. Hearts on Fire opened a store in Las Vegas, NV, in 2012 and another in Philadelphia, PA, in 2013. In July however CTF did state they were planning on opening a wholesale business in the U.S.
