The Antwerp World Diamond Centre's "Diamond Pavilion" at the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair starting September 13 will be replete with no less than 115 diamond trading companies, topping last year's numbers when the Antwerp diamond contingent was among the largest at the show. The Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair is beyond a doubt the most important appointment in the year for the worldwide diamond and jewelry industry. Attracting over 55,000 professional buyers from 156 countries and regions, and with over 3,750 exhibitors exhibiting their goods on more than 130,000 square metres, it is easily the largest jewelry fair in the world. In addition to being unique in its scale, the event is perfectly timed for the peak shopping season for retailers as they prepare for the end of year holidays.
AWDC will also take this occasion for the international launch of its "Diamonds and Antwerp, It's in our DNA" campaign, which celebrates Antwerp's more than 550-year diamond history and invites diamond professionals and enthusiasts from around the world to sign their charter which enshrines the principles of the Antwerp diamond trade.
