Organizers of the CARAT+ "Diamond Event" trade show to be held in Antwerp from May 7 - 9 have announced an agreement with "Bond Girl" Caterina Murino (Casino Royale, 2006) to be a guest of honor, and has announced an exclusive media partnership with The Rapaport Group. Murino, playing the sultry Solange Dimitrios, became the 71st member of one of the most celebrated and exclusive clubs in movie history, known as "the Bond Girls". She will make, "a red-carpet entry to the show on the evening of Sunday May 7th." The Rapaport Group will cover the show through its publications and news service, both online and in print. RapNet will also provide its Show Listings tool for the event, enabling buyers to find diamonds and suppliers at CARAT+. Exhibitors will be able to upload their diamonds in advance or at the show, making themselves and their diamonds easy to find. For buyers, RapNet Show Listings is free to search so that diamonds and suppliers can be found ahead of time.
CARAT+ had previously announced the participation of Roberto Coin, one of the world’s most sought-after Italian jewelry brands, which will exhibit at the premiere edition. With more than 600 new models of fine jewelry created every year, the Roberto Coin brand is today distributed via more than 1,000 points of sales in some 63 countries. Favoured by celebrities, the distinctive jewellery is a frequent and prominent feature at international red carpet events for the film and music industries. Event Director, Filip Van Laere said, “We are delighted to have jewelry brands of the calibre of Roberto Coin. Not only is it immaculately designed and crafted, but it also is a trendsetter, breaking new ground in the industry from collection to collection.”
CARAT+ is a trade show tailored specifically for professional buyers of diamonds and diamond jewelry. Covering the full spectrum of the diamond and diamond jewellery trades, it will feature four sectors, namely loose diamonds, branded diamond jewelry, non-branded diamond jewelry, and services for the diamond and diamond jewelry industry. Taking place in the Antwerp Expo, entry to the show be restricted exclusively to industry professionals.
